I'm a vegetarian and I want to see the best studies about a vegetarian diet's effects on extending my life span. Books like "The China Study" proclaim the benefits of giving up animal proteins including from reduced risks of heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. But can these benefits be seen in the most controlled studies or are they only found in the population studies? I am looking to mainly identity benefits from an ovo-lacto vegetarian diet.
